This Saturday 15th May will mark the 1st anniversary since the re-launch of Pressure Drop. The night originally started back in 2005 in the upstairs room at Dr Browns, 135 Corporation Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 2RR. The club night ran for a few months before been knocked on the head.
But on 15th May 2009 Paddy started up the Pressure Drop night up again at Dr Browns and it's gone from strength to strength. As well as holding the Pressure Drop night in the upstairs room at Dr Brown every 2 weeks we also have the Bank Holiday Sundays in the main bar as well. Playing some of the best in Ska, Skinhead Reggae, Rocksteady & Soul sounds on vinyl it's easy to see why the night has been such a great success.
So I'd like to take this opportunity thank Paddy for putting the night on in the first place, all the guest DJ's (Monty, Graham 'Chopper' Craddy, Wally Francis, Andy Vella, Tony Eastlake, Ash and Rory Kelly) and of course all the people who make the effort to attend the night.
It's a shame that there couldn't of been a Pressure Drop this Saturday to celebrate the anniversary but this was out of Paddy's hands. The next Pressure Drop is on Sunday 30th May in the main bar.
As for the future Pressure Drop will be going on tour. The 1st of these tour dates will take place at The Studio, Tower Street, Hartlepool on Friday 2nd July. Doors open at 7.30pm till 1am and as always the night is FREE! The Studio is a great venue and I'm really looking forward to this night. Hope to see you all there!
