Mod Night - Saturday 13th March

There's a Mod night on Saturday 13th March at the R.A.O.B. Club Wilton Street, Middlesbrough, Cleveland, TS1 3QB.

The night is in memory of Andrew Clark (aka Clarky) who some of you will remember especially if you were involved with the Mod scene back in the 80s & 90s.

Music played will be 60s Soul, R&B, Hammond grooves, Motown, Latin, Psych and maybe even a '79 tune or two. DJ's for the night are Tetley, Andrew Suckley, Chris Spring & myself. Pressure Drop regulars are welcome to pop along to this night but don't expect to hear much Ska apart from the odd tune as I'll probably be the only DJ playing Ska and I'll only be taking a few 60s tunes that night and definitely no 2 Tone.

Doors open at 7pm till 11pm. Admission is free but we will be collecting for charity on the night and also have a CD for sale featuring some of Clarky's favourite tunes. All money raised will be going to The National Society For Epilepsy.

Should be a good night Paddy as we've got people travelling from Brighton, London, Manchester, Leeds & Newcastle. It's a shame that there's no Pressure Drop on Friday 12th March as some people are coming up on the Friday night.

Was a top night even if we did have a few problems with the decks.
Thought that the venue was really good but we did need a later bar as it was over far too soon. Was great to meet up with all the old faces, some I ain't seen in 20 years! Good to see a few of the Pressure Drop crew there as well but I hope that the person who asked me for some 2 Tone was joking.
