Skinhead Ska? I've never heard that term before. Where there even any skinheads around when the original ska sounds were out? I'm sure that they really mean skinhead reggae.
Anyway, 'Skinhead Ska' is a new comp of Laurel Aitken which is out on 6th May on the Cherry Red Records offshoot PressPlay. It's a great introduction to Laurel Aitken's skinhead reggae work and at a decent price too (around £6). Tracks like 'Jesse James, 'Skinhead Train', 'Landlords And Tenants', 'It's Too Late' and 'Sahara' have all been big faves at Pressure Drop in the past.
