Oi! and punk

I couldn't find any threads about this already, so here we go.

As I said in my intro, I'm more into oi! than ska and reggae, so I figured I'd start a thread about oi! and punk rock.

What are your favorites?

As far as oi! goes, it's a hard call for me, but I'd say my top 5 bands, in no real order, are Cock Sparrer, The Business, Cockney Rejects, The Skinflicks, and Perkele. Anyone interested in oi! and not familiar with those 5 should definitely look into them. I can recommend particular songs if anyone's interested.

Some close runners-up for my favorites are Combat 84, The Last Resort, Evil Conduct, and The Arresting Officers.

I'd also recommend Condemned 84, Angelic Upstarts, The Oppressed, The Strike, Sham 69, 4 Skins and Retaliator.

With regard to punk, my favorites are The Exploited, GG Allin, The Misfits, Blitz, The Distillers, and AntiSeen.

Punk bands I love are The Clash, The Ruts and The Buzzcocks.

I'm not much of an Oi fan these days but I did listen to and have records by The Angleic Upstarts, Sham 69, The Oppressed and The Blaggers when I was younger. I also helped put out an album which featured Oi & punk bands.
